Fight for $15 is a Scam

The “FIGHT FOR 15” is a Farce.

Many of you will get your $15/hour….for a little while.
The same way the the pig in Charlotte’s Web was lulled into satisfaction with “quality slop”.
When Wilbur has gorged and is feeling protected, that’s when he learns he’s being taken to be auctioned…and then to slaughter.
If your job involves not thinking for yourself, and getting paid by the hour…this $15 you get will come to and end. Eat the slop now – if you must….but use the money to get strong, get educated and save…so when your $15/hr positions are ALL eliminated [and they will be]….you are ready.
When you jump from one level of paid servitude to another, you’ll realize the answer might be outside the constructs of “employment”….a machination of the INDUSTRIAL AGE, which we are currently transitioning/fighting/climbing out of.
Aim higher. You’ll be surprised what you can achieve when you shoot for the top instead of the middle.

How to Choose Yourself

How to Choose Yourself

Duck Dynasty Dubiel Basspro 12-18-2013
How did the #DuckDynasty flock get their own reality show and how can their story help YOU in EVERYTHING you aspire to achieve? The answer might surprise you…
They used a timeless concept that is even taught in the #Bible!
While getting a TV show might seem like a “victory”, lots of shows FAIL and very few shows succeed… Most never even air.
So more importantly,
HOW did they position themselves and their show to get EVERY possible advantage, virtually ensuring success even in the face of controversy?
The answer to both questions are the SAME….and it’s a concept we “bake in” to our process in guiding my private celebrity and business clients.
It’s the same way Stephen Colbert got “picked” to replace David Letterman when he retired from the Late Show this year.
And it can help YOU get picked and ensure YOU are prepared when you do get picked.
This is how you create your own LUCK! 😉
After all, Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
MOST of us are NOT prepared to TAKE ON our next great opportunity…
Even FEWER are prepared to take it on and THEN leverage that opportunity and build on it for YEARS, DECADES, or even GENERATIONS to come.
That’s momentum and it can be UNSTOPPABLE, if you play your cards right.
This lesson from the Duck Dynasty crew is not about getting your own reality show…but what they did to get “chosen” and what Colbert did to get “chosen” WILL work for you…in EVERY aspect of your life.
Here’s what they did…and what OTHERS who create their own luck are doing. (Sadly, it has been used for evil as well as good.)
It’s simple.
They didn’t wait…
for someone to CHOOSE them…
for someone to call them…
for someone to ask them…
They chose themselves first.
Here’s how.
Before the Robertson family even talked to a TV network, cable crew or got an agent…they did their own reality show.
They literally videotaped a reality series on their own. They starred, produced it, edited it…everything.
They failed fast…and they got good at being themselves and telling stories on camera.
They found their voice. They honed it…and figure out how to get better as they went.
They didn’t all have beards even…but once they made the decision to CHOOSE themselves, they began to figure out other secrets about breaking through to the masses (those beards are strategic NLP sorta stuff).
Colbert did the same thing…
They brought their vision (of themselves) into reality, so EVERYONE else could see it!!!
When it was time to find the guy to replace Letterman, others could see what Colbert believed…
They could envision Colbert in Letterman’s seat because he could show them. He was ALREADY doing that kind of show.
A&E could envision Duck Dynasty on TV, because the Robertsons could show them. They were ALREADY doing a show!
You don’t need to be on a reality TV show, or a late night talk show.
But, if you want to be LUCKY…you have to CHOOSE yourself FIRST.
You must let the world HEAR, SEE, and READ you in action, so you can get the repetitions you need to get better…
So you can let them envision YOU in the role you’ve chosen for yourself…
And so you can stack the deck in your favor, which will inspire OTHERS to CHOOSE you…
That will bring YOU more opportunity and when it comes, you WILL be prepared!
I help business people, leaders, speakers, authors, doctors, lawyers, contractors, and professionals GET LUCKY on purpose.
If you are in position to GET LUCKY on purpose and take things to the next level in your business, message me and let’s set up a strategy call now so I can learn more about YOU and your mission!

How to Create Timeless Content

WCKG_Studios-Chicago-podcast-radio

How to Create Timeless Content

ATTN: Podcasters, Broadcasters, Vloggers, Authors & Webinar Hosts: I have a tip, THREE MAGIC WORDS that will TRANSFORM your business…and change the way you think about your content FOREVER. It’s so simple, but it’s HUGELY impactful…
READY?
Do NOT EVER say:
“WE ARE LIVE” on ANY your content.
It’s like when someone says, “let me be honest” or “truthfully”…does that mean they are bullshitting you the rest of the time?
When you SAY you are live, 99.9% of the time YOU ARE LYING…even if you do not realize it.
I’ll explain in a minute…Plus, I’m going to teach you how to TIME TRAVEL.
But first know this:
No one cares if you are LIVE. You think they do, but they don’t.
If you want to underscore to someone that you will be presenting something LIVE, do so in the header, in the invite, in the email or in the marketing material!
Do NOT do this IN your content.
#1 When you do this, you INSTANTLY make yourself a LIAR.
BECAUSE 99.9999% of those who consume your content will do so when it is NO LONGER live. Think about it.
#2 You FORCE the content to have an expiration date WELL BEFORE it should expire…and in many cases simply omitting this ONE LINE will make your content EVERGREEN!
Worse yet, we live in a time where everything you create lives FOREVER!!!
For-EVER…FOR-eva EVA!
Consider the following:
MOST people who listen, watch or consume your content, will be watching it AFTER it was created.
You must TIME TRAVEL and consider what it will be like for people to watch or listen to your stuff in the FUTURE.
99% will consume your content at a FUTURE time…
Why?
Because the past is 100% over the minute it happens, and the FUTURE is infinite.
I know..
WHOA right?
It won’t even be close…so the perceived benefit of saying “we’re live” is FALSE.
There is NO benefit. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
It’s a crutch and it needs to be eliminated from your lexicon STAT.
Unless you want your FUTURE self, to look back and watch YOU look and sound like a schmo!
You’re not a schmo, so present yourself like THE professional you are.
Before, you had no excuse… because no one told you.
But now you know…so if you are the pro I know you are, you will adjust and move forward.
Your FUTURE SELF, and FUTURE AUDIENCE will thank you. I promise. 🙂
——————–
Don’t get me started on using words like podcast, webinar, and vlog in your content…just START with losing the “we’re live” bullshit now.
It’ll get your noodle thinking on a different track…and that track leads AWAY from the perpetual hamster wheel of creating content that expires the minute you hit save.
If you make a living off your content, knowledge, expertise…etc…I can help you look, sound, and perform better. It’s my thing. I do it for celebrities, radio stars, and professionals in business, fitness and consulting. I can help you, if you are teachable. And how can you expect YOUR tribe to be teachable and coachable, if you aren’t? PM me if you want to work together on your FUTURE.

Did you know the TONIGHT show is taped at 5pm?
Did you know OPRAH’s WHOLE SEASON was taped in the SUMMER?
YES even the Favorite Things CHRISTMAS episode!!

How To Handle Haters

My dad gave me this poem more than once… Little did I know it is the cheat code on How to Handle Haters in this new era of social media.
This advice has never been more useful, true, and touching…and it ALWAYS teaches me more about life, people, myself, and my father. I share it often with my kids…and I’m eternally grateful to have been lucky enough to have a father who taught me such lessons.
I hope you find it useful and see fit to share it with people you care about. 🙂

“If” by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
Rudyard Kipling
